Shaista Roshan is an Indo-Arab filmmaker raised in the UAE, she finds beauty in hybrids and the unique perspective it allows.  She believes it to be her lowkey superpower!

She was recently selected for the Canadian Film Centres' Producer Lab and currently works as an independent producer with internationally renowned award-winning directors and writers, producing shorts that are currently making festival rounds.

Through her love for storytelling and its potential to inspire change, Shaista has worked creatively in the Television and Film space  for over 10 years in the Middle-East, South Asia and North America.

Her slate is reflective of her nomadic production experiences around the globe and aims to champion hy-stories that hone a hybrid quality that translates across varied cultures and its peoples.
